I need a game more fun 2 figures to do in class? If you subtract so, would it be?
I am teaching 2 addition and subtracting two numbers. The students are there, but I need to consider and continue to practice with them. I need a fun way to do that. Whether a game, a piece of fun, nothing. HELP! Thank you!
Simple game: Maths Champion. Choose 2 or 3 students of similar to keep the front of the class. Other students quickly selected by the teacher shouting questions of addition and subtraction. Professor keeps a count on the table to reveal that Mathematics is the day of the Champion. I've seen used on a group of normally disengaged 13-14 years who were really into it. Harder game: Students go into groups of 4. The teacher draws a table on the board – one row for each team and three columns. (Ex: If there were 5 groups, it would be 5 rows of 3 boxes). The object of the game is to have the lowest number in three digits your ranks. At every turn, the teacher rolls a die BIG, and ask a team to a question. If they get right, they can choose where in the table to the number DiceRoller. They can put in any row or column they like For example, the teacher has 6 cylinders and asks "43 48". The reaction of children "91." Then they decide to put 6 in the first column of the line of another team so the other team 3-digit number will be high. This lasts until all the numbers were in. It's a quite strategic, but I saw it used with a low 11-12 years.
