From time to time we may see a group of women wearing extravagant red hats and purple. These women are members of the Red Hat Society, an organization of women. This social group of women was created in 1998 and grew to approximately 1.5 million members. A few requirements to joining the company is headed a red hat, purple or pink.
By wearing extravagant hats, women share a common bond. The pleasure is to be had when joined the group fosters imagination, creativity, love of life and friendship.
The Red Hat Society is composed of sections local, which include a queen bed, Vice-Queen and hatters Red Rose. Women who are over 50 years, known as Red Hatters, wear a red hat on their birthday and a purple hat. For women under age 50, also known as Pink Hatters, a pink hat is the proper dress and hat of lavender her birthday.
It is not uncommon to find Red & Pink Hatters in the unique hand decorated hats. Some may even call these hats crazy, extreme or sumptuous but all in the name of fun. The hats range from very simple to the bizarre, to convey a hobby. For example, a woman who loves pulling the lever on a machine many may be seen in a hat which was decorated with dice, cards, tokens, tule, lace and even a train.
Many members love the attention of their red hat Crazy moves. A hand women decorate their own hat giving a personal touch, while others choose just a more refined look, as if personalities are infinite are the different styles of hats worn at a given event.
Some local chapters to keep as a specific theme and as its members all wear matching hats in May and held. To wear matching hats and clothing would be a decision taken at the chapter and not by the company itself.
The possibilities of decorating a hat are endless. Many members wear hats with flashing lights, flowers, crystals, rhinestones, tule, lace, stuffed animals, etc. Even if we should take careful not to make the hat too heavy for comfortable use. The next time you try to choose a hat, let your imagination run wild and have fun.
