How can I remove rubber cement on the back of photos in an album?
My grandfather archived many photographs and clippings in a scapbook by using rubber cement to adhere the papers to scrapbook. Now, all the cuts begin to deteriorate due to the high level of acid. How can I safely remove documents and pictures of album to save them? Help!
Whenever I Scrapbook I use Undu – I could not live without it! If I put a sticker on the wrong place on my page I just Undu it. It neutralizes the rigidity of the sticker does not hurt or photo paper, and once it dries the sticker can be reused and placed in a different location. I just finished deleting photos from a heap of old-style photo albums sticky tape. Some pictures were really stuck then I dipped more with Undu, waited several more seconds longer and then slowly removed the picture. The best price I've seen since is in Walmarts So I stock up! PS: I also had some old newspaper clippings to remove, I have soaked well with Undu and was able to eliminate gently from the album.
