There is a huge value in accepting help in your business, build your own capacity as well as growing your team too.
And often when we are given a compliment, or someone says "Thanks," we think it is polite to gently decline. We say things like "This in, which did not go as well, and one I hunted hard to do something for a handful of others like me we had a minor hit.
As a partner, it represented something much larger than it did to some other, while being lower than expected.
Financially, it was very important to him. Then he sent me a gift efforts I had made. It was a small gift and he could ill afford.
Now, he said he was sending this small gift and it was easy to say "You should not have." Instead, I said "Thanks."
I assessed, following the recall boss gave me a few years ago, the choice of making the gift was theirs, and therefore important for them.
In fact, it was an important financial decision, given the state of their finances. Rejecting with "You should not, would undo much of their decision and choice to donate.
Then I said: "Thanks, I appreciate you made this gesture, and I am very grateful. "
My business experience has been hired when I was once given a piece of work where I rejected the praise with "It's just my job '.
Quickly and efficiently, my boss said this to me, It is always better to accept the thanks and praise with good grace, how it is given. And if I ever since.
Why is this important? Well, when people offer thank you or praise, is their gift to give, not yours to refuse or revoke.
Gifts of this kind are difficult to give, especially when the courage and strength is necessary to speak the same place as in some organizations. Respect this is where you come in.
Accepting the gift, with honesty and appreciation is a wonderful gift back, though mainly unspoken and intangible.
It's like saying: "Well, well, it's wonderful that someone appreciates what I do sometimes you have the goodness to give me feedback what I do is considered.
This builds relationships enormously to form teams and how to set all together, appreciating each other and valuing proximity, are important even if sometimes tacit.
It is worth reflecting on the form of words you can use to someone who shows you the appreciation of something you did and I thank them took time to thank you, without that rule, anyway.
You, they and morale of your organization will find great value in this regard.
