Why is there weight limits in the army but they have football teams with 300 + lb linemen? Tell me? They get a free pass to resrictions weight or what?
we must speak of the service academies Falcons AF, Army Black Knights and Midshipmen Navy. and truth is that these schools do not have 300 pound linemen most of their linemen are about 250-260 they have yet to make weight for their military is one of the reasons why these schools are not really football programs very competitive (compared to other powers NCAA) longer. Navy has won North Carolina in 1929 the Army has won back to back in 44 and '45 I think, but the weight limit the school can not compete on a level most national title, not to mention that in today's world of football most of the top players want a chance to a career in the NFL. As graduates of these schools must serve 5 years of active military service most guys with NFL potential to jump on these schools. However this does not mean they do not have a chance like Roger Staubach won the Heisman at Navy and went on to a hall of fame career with the Cowboys. More recently, another former Cowboy Chad Hennings was a graduate of the Air Force. But these are rare circumstances.
